Why
The Global Grant Collective
Was Created

While social media fragments into noise and traditional associations serve broad mandates, grant professionals need a dedicated space for deep, collaborative problem-solving and genuine belonging.

The Global Grant Collective is that haven.

It exists to host the crucial conversations—about country-based best practices, regulatory changes, navigating grant gray areas, and establishing global career paths—this happens in very few spaces.

We are creating a new kind of professional support system where we learn from each other’s stories, accelerate each other’s expertise, and contribute to the elevation of the entire field.

What Makes The Global Grant Collective Different?

The Global Grant Collective is different from traditional professional associations.

We are different because....

...We move beyond surface-level skill-building by building well-rounded knowledge on all aspects of grants acquisition and expansion.

...We are the platform for community-based learning, practical grants advice, communal knowledge sharing, and supportive dialogue.

...The Collective is designed for continuous, multi-perspective, dynamic conversations with and through its members.

...We help you discover where you want your career to take you next.

...You can learn from diverse points of view and geo-specific best practices as you build powerful professional relationships with grant professionals around the world.

Meet Our Founder

Patrice Davis, MS, CGMS

When my son was entering junior high and my daughters were still in elementary school, I decided to pause my career and shift to part-time work.

After 10 years as a marketing manager, I became a 20-hour a week grants manager at Jerusalem House.

After 6 years in that role, other positions included:

  • Grants Compliance Officer with The Carter Center

  • Public Health Analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

  • Research Program Manager at Georgia Tech

  • Senior Director of Federal Grant Compliance for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

I started Grants Works with a primary initial focus on post-award management and compliance.

Since then, Grants Works has provided pre- and post-award consulting and training services for numerous organizations. We've even served as the fiscal compliance officer on monitoring visits of state agencies.

So, when I say I've seen grants from several angles, I mean it.

But that's not enough. I want to create a space for both grant writers and grant administrators, for sponsored research administrators, for early career grant pros, and, yes, for grant pros in the US, in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean—all around the world.

The Global Grant Collective does not replace existing associations created for grant professionals—we augment what you're learning in those spaces.

Come and join us.
