LEARN MORE

According to recent reports, local government officials fear that many communities will be left out of the unprecedented federal investment in workforce development, infrastructure, climate, environmental, and other programs.

Federal grants and other funding from the Inflation Reduction Act are leading the US towards a "clean Industrial Revolution." Among other investments, the law authorized funding that is spurring rural development, providing historic funding for environmental justice initiatives, apprenticeship and other workforce development projects, expanding clean energy, and funding conservation programs.

These  investments can be beneficial for small businesses, including minority- and women-owned businesses.

Unfortunately, many eligible recipients will not apply for funding.

SOME OF THE REASONS?

They are unaware the funding exists

Some believe the federal grant application process is too complicated
Some lack the in-house capacity to apply

Once awarded, they lack the in-house capacity to manage the award
